One accurate record for a small town that punches above its weight

Carlton has more tasting rooms per block than almost anywhere in Oregon, and the details change constantly — seasonal hours, pop-up dinners, a patio that's suddenly dog friendly. This project keeps one verified record of it all, and makes that record answerable.

1. 01

   Monitor the source

   Every listing is tied to authoritative sources — the business's own site, booking pages, socials and local press. Each is re-checked on a cadence and snapshotted so we can see exactly what changed and when.

   Extract, don't invent

   AI reads only the fetched page and proposes structured facts: hours, tasting fees, event dates, amenities. Nothing is generated from memory, and every proposed value keeps a pointer back to the sentence it came from.

   Resolve to one entity

   Names drift, domains change, listings duplicate. Candidates are matched against existing records by domain, name and address before anything is written, so a business keeps one living profile instead of five stale ones.

4. 04

   Human review before publish

   Changes that matter land in an editor queue with the old value, the new value and the evidence. An editor approves or rejects. Only approved facts reach the public site, the calendar or the concierge.

5. 05

   Answer with citations

   The concierge and the widgets read the same published record. Ask a question and you get the answer plus the listing it came from — and an honest "not verified yet" when the record is silent.
