The story
Black Dog Vineyard is a certified USDA organic 20-acre vineyard and tasting room located on the edge of the coastal mountains in Carlton, Oregon. The welcoming tasting room features magical Oregon oak trees, wine barrel fire pits, a bocce court, an outdoor patio, and a roof deck with beautiful views. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of 20 different small-batch wines, ranging from delicate pinot noir to crisp whites, sparkling, rosé, and big reds, as well as PNW beer and cider. The vineyard is canine-friendly, welcoming leashed, well-behaved dogs both indoors and outdoors.

Wine Tasting
Enjoy a tasting of Black Dog Vineyard wines. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are accepted for tastings, glass pours, and bottle service as staffing allows.

- What are the event rental fees based on?
- Event rental fees are wine purchase minimums based on the space, time of year, and number of people for a 4-hour rental period.
- Is outside alcohol permitted?
- No. Outside wine, beer, cider, or non-alcoholic drinks are not allowed. Hard alcohol is strictly prohibited.
- Is a deposit required for booking events?
- Yes, a 50% deposit of the wine purchase minimum is due at the time of booking. It is refundable if canceled at least 30 days prior to the event.
- Are large groups required to book an event rental?
- Yes, event rental is required for groups of 15 or more.
