- What is the cancellation and refund policy for studio classes?
- If a student withdraws more than 1 week before the class begins, a refund (less a 20% processing fee) will be paid. No refund is available for withdrawals made 1 week or less before the class. If Currents Gallery cancels a class, a full refund is mailed.
- Do I need to provide a phone number at checkout?
- Yes, it is very important to include your phone number at checkout so the gallery can contact you if there are changes to the class schedule.
- Can I teach a class or rent the studio space?
- Yes, if you are interested in teaching a class or renting the Back Door Studio, you can contact the gallery to inquire.
- What commission does Currents Gallery take for consignment art?
- Currents Gallery takes a 50% commission from consignment artists' sales.
- What are the framing and display requirements for submitted artwork?
- All wall art must be properly framed with wire hangers. Three-dimensional art must be ready to display on a shelf, pedestal, or clothes hanger. All pieces must be labeled with the artist's name, a title or identifying number, and the medium.
- Are represented artists allowed to show in other galleries nearby?
- No, artists represented by Currents Gallery may not be represented by any other gallery within a five-mile radius of Currents Gallery.
- How often does formal jurying occur?
- Formal jurying occurs quarterly, though submitted images are reviewed promptly.
- What is the return policy for store purchases?
- Items may be returned for gallery credit only within a 10-day period from the date of purchase. To be eligible, items must be unused, in their original condition and packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.
- Can sale items be returned or refunded?
- No, only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
- What is the return policy for gift purchases?
- If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be issued.
