The story
Eric Dayton is a lifelong painter and artist. Early in his career, he was classically trained in oil paints in Florida by artist Jonathan Green. After moving west to Portland, Oregon at age 20, he expanded his creative repertoire into other mediums, studying under notable artists Manuel Izquierdo (sculptor), Gordon Gilkey (printmaker), and Jack Portland (frescos). His contemporary work is characterized by thematic series, utilizing diverse surfaces and layered techniques to continually challenge and evolve his artistic practice.
