When Cady Heron moves from Africa to suburban Illinois, she enters a world she does not understand: high school. Before long, she is pulled into the orbit of the Plastics, a popular trio led by the charming and ruthless Regina George. At first, Cady is only pretending to play their game. Then popularity starts to feel powerful, revenge starts to feel justified, and the line between pretending and becoming disappears.
